Understand your braking.
Unlock your pace.
You've developed the skills. Now discover what is holding you back, why it happens, and how to turn your technique into consistent speed.

For riders ready to refine, not just learn.
This offering is designed for enduro and downhill riders who have already completed a solid foundation of skills development and want to take a more analytical approach to their race pace.
Rather than simply pushing harder, we look at braking habits, technical limitations, decision-making and confidence to understand where momentum is being lost—and what can be improved.

Find the moments that cost you momentum.
We begin by using BrakeAce to assess when, where and how the brakes are being used. A braking event may reveal more than a braking problem: it could point to an unstable position, insufficient movement or power, a technical weakness, or uncertainty approaching a section.
We then use on-trail coaching and rider feedback to understand what is driving the behaviour. Instead of guessing, we can focus practice on the areas most likely to make a difference.
Used at the highest level of downhill racing: BrakeAce sensors and analysis have been used by World Cup rider Gloria Scarsi of the MS Racing factory team.

See whether better habits translate into faster runs.
Once we have identified and worked on key braking habits, Freelap adds reliable timed feedback on selected sections or full runs. Comparing repeated efforts helps us see whether a technical adjustment actually improves pace and whether that improvement can be repeated.
The aim is not simply one faster lap. It is to develop a rider who understands their choices, maintains momentum and can recover from mistakes without losing composure.
How it fits into your private lessons.
Best integrated into a five- or ten-lesson coaching package after the initial skills development work.
Develop your skills.
During your earlier private lessons, we build technique, movement, pressure control and confidence on the trail. Your coach identifies the key areas that matter for your riding.
Discover why you're braking.
After establishing a foundation—often around the third lesson of a five-pack—we introduce a dedicated BrakeAce session. Timing may be left out initially so we can focus on braking habits and their underlying causes.
Refine under the clock.
We return to selected terrain with BrakeAce and Freelap timing, testing the changes you have made. The findings guide subsequent coaching and help shape the rest of your progression.
Recognise the pattern. Refine the response. Repeat the pace.
Racing will never be completely mistake-free. The goal is to develop the awareness to recognise what caused a loss of momentum, respond effectively and return to your pace.
By combining braking analysis, individualised coaching and timed training, riders can build a clearer understanding of their own performance—and a more consistent approach to racing.
Why choose a coaching package?
One data session can reveal opportunities, but meaningful progress comes from understanding, practising and revisiting them. Our five- and ten-lesson packages allow the analysis to feed directly into ongoing coaching rather than remaining a one-off result.
