  • Our private mountain bike lessons range from first time beginners to experienced and expert riders.

    These can vary from introduction to mountain biking in a safe and controlled environment or towards catering towards fine tuning and refining current skills and offering the right amount of challenge and guidance.

    • For beginner riders, private lessons can be a great first experience to mountain biking fundamentals - with our extensive local experience we are driven to deliver a service that suits your needs.

    • Experienced/advanced can expect further refinement in their riding, our correct and concise explanations and lesson structure not only help you progress in the lesson but provide sustainable steps to keep progressing on your own much after.

    • We learn from you while you learn from us, we understand that every rider is unique and learns differently. This is where our experience and bandwidth comes into the picture. We work with where you are, while helping you progress towards where you want to be.

      We do include regular breaks and work within your fitness levels.

    • Ample snacks and water for the duration of the session.

    • Regular fitting helmets and knee pads.

    • Full-face helmets and chest & back protectors for lift access bike parks.

    • All rentals can be arranged while booking.

    • For bikes please enter your height and weight so we can set it up for you prior to pick up.

Advanced Adult private lessons
  • Intended for riders and students who want to transform key aspects in their riding ultimately to expand their comfort zone on what’s possible.

    We’ll start with a phone call or if you are a local a short ride to understand your current riding, where you struggle, your goals and then find the best opportunities that will contribute towards your progress.

    We take your feedback to create a solid, actionable plan that will help you unlock jumps, steeps and features on higher grade trails.

    More importantly, this process enables tools that can sustain your progress for a lifetime

  • Once we have established your goals and areas for improvement. We will suggest session plan that covers:

    • Position and stability

    • Pressure and braking control

    • Range of movement

    • Advanced MTB techniques.

    • Personal cues to how your body responds to trail.

    • Actual and effective changes to how your body moves so you can respond to the trail in a way that feels consistent an comfortable.

    Whether you pick a 3, 5 or 10 pack. Each lesson will include realistic goals and aim to achieve key performance indicators to help you measure your progress.

    • In depth bike setup and understanding of suspension kinematics - high and low speed compression, rebound and sag setup.

    • Tyre pressure recommendations and other bike adjustments relating to handlebar length, position, seat angle etc to enable more comfort and maximize connection with the bike.

    • Complimentary timed training to track progress using our Raceline timing system. (Must specify when booking)

  • 1. Do I need to be an advanced rider to book private sessions?
    Not at all. These sessions are designed for anyone who wants to progress, whether you’re building confidence on technical trails or looking to master advanced features like jumps and steeps. We tailor the plan to your current level and goals.

    2. How do I know which package (3, 5, or 10 sessions) is right for me?
    If you want a focused boost on a specific skill, a 3-pack is great. For broader progression and consistency, a 5-pack works best. A 10-pack gives the most value for riders aiming to transform their riding long-term with measurable results.

    3. What do I need to bring to my session?
    Bring your bike in safe working condition, helmet, protective gear, water, and snacks. If you’re riding at a lift-accessed venue (Skyline, Coronet, Cardrona), you’ll need to purchase a lift pass separately.

    4. Is bike setup included in the coaching?
    Yes. We cover in-depth bike setup, from suspension kinematics (sag, rebound, compression) to tyre pressures, handlebar width, and seat position. This ensures your bike is working with you, not against you.

    5. How is progress tracked?
    Each session has realistic goals and KPIs. You’ll also receive video analysis through the Sport Sense coaching app, plus the option for complimentary timed training with our Raceline system to see measurable improvements.

    6. How do the 3, 5, or 10 session packs work?
    When you purchase a pack, you’ll receive a booking code that acts like credit. You can then use this code to book individual private lesson slots at times that suit you.

    7. Do the session packs expire?
    Yes. All session packs are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of time to book sessions around your schedule.

    8. Can I share my session pack with a friend or family member?
    Session packs are designed for one to two riders (similar ability) so we can tailor the progression plan specifically to you.

    If you’d like to add more than 2 people in your session, we may only be able to do so provided abilities are the same.

    9. What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
    We understand things come up. Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 72 hours notice. Cancellations with less notice may count as one used session from your pack.

    10. What if the weather is bad?
    If weather or trail conditions make it unsafe to run your session, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.
